One of the most beautiful memories is my first trip overseas. I was 12 and my brother was 10, we had sleepless nights in anticipation for our holiday because it literally was a dream come true.

The happiest place on earth or more affectionately known @waltdisneyworld was the most incredible family holiday experience ever. We were at the perfect ages because we still had the innocence of our childhood to enjoy all the fantasy and splendour that only @disney can deliver. I remember the first time I laid eyes on the castle of the @disneymagickingdoms , and how I could literally feel butterflies in my tummy taking in the beauty of it all.

We stayed at one of the Disney resorts called Port Orleans which was French themed. It was winter and Christmas so we got to enjoy warm apple cider and giant choc chip cookies by the fireplace every night. My brother even got chosen to be a Baker for thr morning and assisted in baking sugary treats in the hotel kitchen. We had all the characters sign our autograph books, meeting Cinderella was my highlight!.

The theme parks were legendary even though the lines were exceptionally long because it was peak holiday season. As children we were willing to wait rather than miss out on anything.

It was most special three years ago when we went back with our children. My parents relived the excitement we had on our first trip by seeing the glow in the eyes of their four grandchildren.

It is the type of vacation that has no age restriction. It is my favourite travel destination because I am quite an adrenaline junkie especially in a theme park. It is a place where you can’t help but smile and it take in
