This morning I decided to play truant with Yuhna and allowed her to skip school to go to the movies with me. Her sisters have been gushing about how magical Aladdin is on the big screen as they had already watched it during the week.
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the cryptozoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient superspecies, thought to be mere myths, rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
We went to the Nu Metro VIP cinema at Cornubia to watch it in 3D. I love to feel relaxed when I watch a movie and I always carry blankets for the kids and I to cuddle up and be comfortable. Yuhna was amazed at how the seats recline all the way back ( she is a third child so doesn’t get out much). The seats are very spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The is also plenty room to walk to your seat comfortably without having to shuffle. You can also food and beverage that will be brought to your seats for your convenience. The VIP cinema has a separate counter so the lines are shorter and it’s easier to move along. I love visiting Cornubia mall because I can park at the undercover parking closest to the movies which is secure and the best part is that parking is free!
I remember watching Disney’s Aladdin when I was a little girl and watching the animation come to life took me back to my childhood. Will Smith owned his role as Genie and was an absolute superstar. Aladdin and Jasmine were depicted exactly as I imagined them to be. Jasmine’s beauty will take your breathe away and Aladdin’s courage and confidence will win your heart.It was a beautiful portrayal of this classic with a few surprises and music that you can sing along to for days.
Moral of the story for today, yes I was a rebel mom and I broke some rules but I had a very special date with my daughter that ended with her cuddling with me in my arms as we watched the credits. I have no regrets.
